Rio Ferdinand and his wife Kate reportedly 'arrived two hours late' to support the footballer's brother Anton on Dancing On Ice on Sunday. The couple are said to showed up later than other friends and family in order to dodge an awkward run-in with Kate's ex Dan Edgar - who is competing on the show.

TOWIE's Kate and Dan dated for six years and she was introduced on The Only Way Is Essex as his on-off girlfriend in 2015. But a year later, Dan was hit with cheating allegations and they split for good in 2017. Kate went on to wed former England star Rio, 46, in 2019 and became step-mum to his three children. The pair later welcomed two kids of their own.

As well as showing up late to the filming for Dancing On Ice over the weekend, Kate and Rio are also said to have skipped out on the after-show drinks. Speaking to The Sun, a source who was at Dancing On Ice said: 'Kate and Rio turned up two hours later than the other friends and family and it seemed like they made a late entrance to avoid any run-ins with Dan.
