Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo’s revelation about her relationship with James Watt has people questioning if she’s ‘rage-baiting’. The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here winner posted a video on TikTok to speak about a more unique part of how they maintain their happiness.
In the short clip, Georgia, 30, explained that she and her 42-year-old finacé sit down for quarterly relationship reviews. Sitting in an office with her Apple laptop resting on a desk in front of her, Georgia acknowledged that some people may find their choice a bit weird. However, she added: ‘We think it’s really normal.’. She then gave an insight into what the reviews involve. Firstly, the couple share what they love about each other and their relationship. Things then progress to areas of improvement. ‘This is the savage one we talk about things that we could do better or feedback that we would like to give,’ she shared.
Justifying the need for the organised discussion, she said: ‘If you don’t nip in the bud these tiny, completely irrelevant things like your lip balm they can turn into bigger major things that actually could affect your relationship.’. ‘I highly recommend,’ Georgia summarised before adding: ‘Before I sign off, the one that consistently comes up on James’ part, he politely says “We should do more budgeting” I.e. I need to stop spending so much.’.
After watching the video some viewers theorised that Georgia was trying to get a rise out of them through rage-baiting. This is a social media trend that involves posting content which is intentionally trying to anger viewers. The tactic is employed as it can lead to people engaging with the content more. ‘100% rage bait at this point,’ wrote account mic, which was liked by 610 and led to further commenters in agreement.
‘This must be rage bait?’ weighed in Alexandra Kehoe251. ‘The best way for this to go away is from everyone to stop engaging. Don’t give angry or sarcastic comments. Just stop engaging immediately,’ advised GeorgeEJ111. ‘Budgeting with a combined wealth of 100M+ how patronising,’ complained RustyMurmur. Jake Plant contributed: ‘Unless this is rage bait you have to say this is absolutely tragic.’.
Last month, the couple were also slammed for their comments on mixing careers with personal life. They both don’t believe in the concept of work-life balance, instead favouring work-life integration. ‘I just think the whole concept of work-life balance was invented by people who hate the work that they do,’ James stated. Georgia agreed with her partner completely, explaining that when she met James she was ‘quite taken aback by how aligned we are on the important stuff.’ She said that they approach the separation in a ‘really beautiful way’.
The standpoint was met with criticism, with people accusing the pair of not acknowledging people’s differing situations. James and Georgia first began dating in 2023 after being set up by a mutual friend, and their whirlwind romance led to an engagement the following year. Georgia first found fame on Made In Chelsea before embarking on I’m A Celebrity in 2017 and winning. James co-founded the beer company BrewDog in 2007, but stepped down as CEO in 2024 after some difficult years. In 2021, former employees wrote an open letter criticising a culture of fear, and James quickly apologised. The business’ net value was put at a whopping £1.5 billion – James’ share is said to be around £300 million.
James has two daughters from his previous marriage to illustrator Johanna Basford, while Georgia was previously engaged to George Cottrell, a senior advisor to Nigel Farage. What I Own: I quit London at 48 and bought my first home in Sussex for £325,000. London's cheapest place to rent revealed — but it might not be for long. Londoners are flocking to this ‘bustling’ neighbourhood 10 miles from the centre.
If you live at this house number, your property could be 'cursed'. I bought a house with my partner — but when we broke up, he refused to sell.
