The Masked Singer's latest episode had viewers on the edge of their seats as a major new clue led them to believe they've cracked the identity of one of the contestants. This week the show had a superhero theme, with the judges, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross all dressing up as fictional characters, joined by guest judge, Olympian Tom Daley.
The cast of concealed characters on stage in Saturday's episode (January 18) included Tattoo, Snail, Kingfisher, Teeth, and Dressed Crab. While their identities remained a secret, viewers picked up on a part of Snail's voice that led them to believe it belonged to a Girls Aloud star, reports the Express.
Over on X, one armchair detective declared: "Sounds like there's a Irish twang... going with Nadine Coyle." Echoing the sentiment, another penned: "#Maskedsinger snail definitely sounded Irish!". A third clue collector hypothesised: "Snail = Nadine Coyle disguising her tone? Dreams that glitter. Can't speak French.".
Convinced of a girl band origin, someone else pronounced: "Snail is definitely a member of Girls Aloud! #TheMaskedSinger." While another fan surmised: "I like the Nadine Coyle guess, deffo disguising her voice though.". Throughout the instalment, Snail dished out some key clues that set the judges and home-audience tongues wagging with theories.
