ITV Masked Singer's Pufferfish's identity 'revealed' as EastEnders favourite

The Masked Singer fans are convinced they've exposed Pufferfish's identity. The hit ITV series returned earlier this month with a line-up of new celebrity contestants hiding behind elaborate costumes and masks. The new contestants include Bush, Dressed Crab, Bear, Kingfisher, Pegasus, Pufferfish, Snail, Spag Bol, Tattoo, Teeth, Toad In The Hole and Wolf. Meanwhile, Davina McCall, Maya Jama, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross are on the panel as judges while Joel Dommett hosts.
So far, Toad In The Hole was unmasked as Macy Gray, Pegasus was unmasked as Prue Leith, Spag Bol was unmasked as Kate Garraway and just last week Tattoo was unmasked as Carol Decker. And now viewers are convinced they've rumbled Pufferfish's identity and it's an EastEnders favourite. Taking to Twitter, now X, show watchers are convinced it could be Shona McGarty, who played Whitney Dean on the BBC One soap from 2008 to 2024.
Elsewhere, other viewers think it could be Jacqueline Jossa, who has played Lauren Branning on-off on EastEnders since 2010. One person said: "I reckon Pufferfish is Shona McGarty from Eastenders. #TheMaskedSinger", a different account put: "Going Whitney from Eastenders as Pufferfish #themaskedsingeruk #TheMaskedSinger", another said: "Whitney Dean From eastenders #maskedsingeruk #maskedsinger" while a different account added: "I reckon Pufferfish is Shona McGarty from Eastenders #TheMaskedSinger.".
Elsewhere, another viewer speculated: "I think Pufferfish is Jacqueline Jossa #TheMaskedSinger", a different account wrote: "Think pufferfish might be Jacqueline Jossa #TheMaskedSinger" while another added: "WAIT! Pufferfish could be Jacqueline Jossa!! #TheMaskedSinger.".
