The Masked Singer character Bush survives yet another week, but fans think they know their identity already without an unmasking. On Saturday night, Kingfisher was unmasked, and was revealed as Sir Grayson Perry, despite many believing it was Harry Hill, including the judges. Grayson then joked he was doing his "Harry Hill impression" to throw the judges off. Snail was also 'exposed' as Andrea Corr, who fans had been guessing for weeks.
Although they may have got the identity of Kingfisher wrong, fans are convinced they know who Bush is, and it's someone who's made headlines this week. With clues saying they've been "very busy with the day job" fans on X, formerly known as Twitter are convinced it could be an EastEnders star, as they gear up for the 40th anniversary. The judges have guessed former EastEnders actress Maisie Smith, but fans think it's another EastEnders star. Especially when bush said "Am I Maisie Smith, or have they got the wrong Ender the stick!".
One fan tweeted: "if bush is morgana robinson impersonating natalie cassidy it will actually be the best thing that’s ever happened on this show #maskedsingeruk. While another said: "Bush is 100% Natalie Cassidy! The clues, the accent, the voice - everything points to her!". Another claimed: "Natalie Cassidy, it’s so obvious. You can hear her voice plain as day. #maskedsingeruk." A fourth convinced fan tweeted: "If Bush isn’t Natalie Cassidy, I am going to be questioning everything #MaskedSingerUK.".
This week, it was revealed that Natalie would be stepping down as her role as Sonia Fowler in the soap after over three decades. She'll be bidding farewell once the highly anticipated 40th anniversary celebrations conclude. Her character is currently pregnant with killer Reiss Colwell's baby unaware that he was the one who bumped off his ex-wife. "I feel extremely sad to be writing this, but also very excited," she said. "After another 11 solid years back on The Square, I have decided it’s time to move on to pastures new. EastEnders is in my bones so I will never forget where I started my career and I will continue to love the show. Thank you to Chris Clenshaw for the opportunity to be such a big part of the 40th anniversary – it’s an honour.
Emotionally concluding, Natalie wrote: "See ya, Sonia, going but never forgotten." Further speaking about Natalie's depature, boss Chris Clenshaw announced: "Over the last 31 years in EastEnders, Natalie has been involved in some of the show’s most iconic and explosive storylines. Her portrayal of Sonia has made her a firm fan favourite amongst the viewers. "I won’t be revealing the finite details relating to her exit, but I can say that she will take a central role in the 40th anniversary storylines in a week of truly unmissable drama that will change the lives of those in Walford forever. I’d like to thank Natalie for her time at EastEnders, and I wish her all the best for the future.".
