Love Island star Nicole Samuel has spoken about her break-up from Ciaran Davies, revealing that she turned down All Stars as she's still 'healing' from the split. The 24-year-old stopped by The Mirror's Bombshell Briefing for an exclusive chat with hosts Lauren Morris and Niamh Kirk about the current series of All Stars. Speaking about how she was asked to go on All Stars shortly after splitting for Ciaran at the end of last year, she said that it was too early for her to return to the villa.
"I've just come off the show. I thought I'd found my person and I planned on being with Ciaran for the rest of my life. Obviously, you don't plan on being with someone and then rush back into such an intense environment where you're thrown into the deep end. "You go on such intense dates, you get to know someone on such a deep level and it wouldn't be right or fair to myself if I went and put myself back in that situation." She added: "It's totally different on the outside when you're seeing somebody. To be in there, like I said, it's so intense, it's a totally different environment, and you get to know each other on such a deep level.
"I don't want to rush into anything, so like you've got to take time to heal and like I feel going back would have been the wrong decision for me personally at the moment because you, you can't just go from dating one person to another. You're not giving yourself time to heal at all. It wasn't the right choice and it wasn't the right time.". As for how she'd feel on the show if Ciaran walked in, Nicole said: "We're on good terms so I wouldn't have minded if he did. It wouldn't have been a bad thing. I wouldn't start panicking because I think we would actually be friends.
"It wouldn't be nice to see him with other people, maybe I suppose because it's so soon. Whereas over time, it's going to happen," she said. "There wouldn't be any drama. We would just be so supportive of each other.". Love Island viewers have been the rollercoaster of Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard's relationship in the All Stars villa, with the pair arguing and then quickly making up in a series of bizarre events. Nicole opened up about the couple's Wednesday spat, revealing what she reckons is the real reason behind Ekin-Su's reaction to Curtis heading to the Hideaway with bombshell Danielle Sellers.
Nicole said: "I'm going to be hated for this, but I think Ekin was in the right. I know people are going to come for me on this one, right? I think in there, you're with each other 24 hours a day, one day honestly feels like one week. "You get to know each other so fast because you're around each other 24/7 and I think you don't go in and close something off and say, 'I'm not interested in anyone else,' to suddenly walk back in and say, 'Oh hold on, let's open the book again. I want to explore more.'".
She added: "If you're closed off, that's it. You've got to get to that point where you're like, 'I'm ready, I'm settled, I know you, I want to be with you.' You can't say, 'Oh hang on actually the new fresh meat is coming in and I want to get to know you.'". The Mirror's Love Island Bombshell Briefing streams weekly on The Mirror website and platforms. Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
