Man tries to put out fire with a snowman after house hit by fireworks A snowman saved the day when a house went up in flames in Liverpool.
Neighbours rallied to put out the flames, including one who threw a snowman on the blaze before firefighters arrived.
Fireworks had been fired at the front door and through a broken window of the property on Garswood Street in Dingle, the Liverpool Echo reported.
Smoke billowed from the bay window of a Victorian terraced house when it caught fire on Wednesday around 11.35pm.
One man, who was playing Football Manager at home when he heard a ‘bang’, said: ‘The people living there keep themselves to themselves.
