Marcus Rashford left in no man's land after Ruben Amorim blast with ex-boss set to step in

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to offer both Casemiro AND Marcus Rashford an escape route from Manchester United after Ruben Amorim took aim at the latter again. Rashford, 27, has hardly featured under United's new head coach and was once again absent from the squad that beat Fulham 1-0 thanks to a late deflected striker from defender Lisandro Martinez.
When Amorim was asked about Rashford's latest omission, he tore into the forward, saying: "It’s always the same reason. The reason is the training. The way I see what a footballer should do in training, in life, every day. If things don’t change, I will not change.
"You can see it today on the bench. We needed a little bit of pace to change the game to move some pieces, but I prefer it like that. "'I will put Vital [United's goalkeeper coach] on before I put a player that doesn’t give the maximum. I will not change in that department.".
Amorim's latest comments indicate there is surely no way back for Rashford at Old Trafford under him. But with a loan move away still yet to materialise, the forward is effectively in no man's land unless a deal can be struck in the coming days. He could be offered an unlikely life line by Solskjaer, though, who returned to manager earlier this month in Turkey with Besiktas.

And they could make a move for both if they are not signed by other clubs given the Turkish transfer window doesn't shut until February 11.
