The Wanted star Max George revealed he wrote a will after being rushed to the hospital last year. Max, 36, spent weeks in the hospital before Christmas after doctors discovered an irregularity with his heart. After being hospitalised, he broke the news to his girlfriend, Maisie Smith, 23, about what was happening while she was preparing to go on stage for work in Kent.

The singer shared updates with his fans on social media throughout the entire process and detailed how he had a pacemaker fitted in a surgery that took two and a half hours. Thankfully, after the successful surgery, he was able to return home right before Christmas.

His girlfriend Maisie helped him with his recovery and stuck by his side throughout the entire process. In his first interview since leaving surgery, the musician revealed he wrote a will on his iPhone while at the hospital. He explained: "That first night I wrote a will, I thought I was going to die.".

Speaking to The Sun, he added: "If I could go from being absolutely on top of the world to being told ‘the bottom part of your heart isn’t working’, I kept thinking in my head, ‘Well, what if the top half stops working overnight?’" He went on to explain how the gravity of the situation made him realise "what your responsibilities are".

Thinking of his partner, his family and his 'two little nephews', he wrote out a will. This week, Max took to his Instagram page to share a photo of himself walking slowly on a treadmill before he panned the camera to his face and gave fans a thumbs up. The star seemed determined as he focused on his health.
