The Apprentice is set to return today (January 30), featuring 18 ambitious candidates vying for the coveted top prize. The much-loved BBC show, now in its nineteenth series, will see contestants seeking investment from Lord Sugar. Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell MBE will once again be on hand to scrutinise this year's participants, assisting Lord Sugar in deciding who gets "fired" in each episode. This year's series comprises of 12 episodes, with the first challenge whisking the contestants off to Austria.
Among this year's hopefuls is Keir Shave, a Leeds-based owner of a telemarketing company. Let's delve deeper into this candidate and explore what makes him a potential recipient of Lord Sugar's investment, reports Leeds Live. According to the BBC, Keir "set up his telemarketing business in just three working days" and is not one to let obstacles hinder his progress. After his previous employer abruptly went under, he now employs over 40 staff in Leeds.
Keir aims to win over Lord Sugar with his business plan for an online tool "designed to help sales staff at all levels throughout their sales conversations". The BBC explains that "the tool is designed to provide little but constant support in the form of a 'chat-bot' where the user can input their issue and the tool responds with ideas/tips around the sales objection". He's convinced he deserves to take the crown on the show, boasting that he has "built and set up a successful business in a short time frame and works incredibly hard," adding: "Drive, skill and passion are what's required to have a successful business, and I have proven I have that in abundance.".
