The Apprentice star Karren Brady has opened up about the challenges she faced while filming the highly anticipated 2025 series, revealing that the experience was more intense than ever before. As the new season kicks off next week, viewers can expect to see 18 fresh faces battle it out for the chance to be hired and fired, by Lord Alan Sugar. Alongside Karren, Tim Campbell, the winner of the first-ever series of The Apprentice, returns as one of the key advisors.
Karren has been a key figure on the show since 2008, and she’s known for her tough, no-nonsense approach in the boardroom. But despite her long history with the show, Karren revealed that this particular season presented more challenges than others.
Taking to social media site X, she wrote: "Filming Season 19 was intense. When everything’s on the line, tensions rise, friendships are tested, and the boardroom battles get brutal. You won’t want to miss it.". Ahead of the show’s return, Lord Sugar has teased a significant shake-up to the format of The Apprentice. Traditionally, the opening task has seen the contestants divided into teams based on gender—men against women—but this time, Lord Sugar has decided to mix things up.
For the very first time, the opening task will feature two mixed-gender teams, adding a fresh dynamic to the competition. The task itself, which will take place in the Alps, is sure to provide plenty of challenges and high-stakes moments as the candidates fight to prove themselves in a stunning but demanding location.
