Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury split five years after meeting on Love Island, and have remained quiet about the reasons why until now. The couple, both 25, share their daughter Bambi, and in 2023 they became engaged with a gorgeous viral proposal that melted hearts.
However, in August 2024, Molly-Mae released a shock statement that informed her fans that their relationship was over. ‘Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this,’ it began. ‘After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.’.
She continued: ‘I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority. ‘I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.’.
‘Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I’ll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x.’. Now, Tommy has explained it was an addiction to alcohol that led to their split in a candid interview.
They first met on the 2019 series of Love Island, where they were runners-up to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, and were the only couple still together from that year. From house moves and health scares to babies, engagements and split rumours, Molly-Mae and Tommy went through a lot before calling time on their romance, and their story continues including an unexpected reunion….
