'My house exploded in LA Fires and I watched it all happen on my Ring doorbell' A man has spoken of the heartbreaking moment he watched his home explode on his Ring doorbell following the devastating LA wildfires.
It comes as the death toll from the wildfires ravaging the Los Angeles area rose to 16 as crews battled to cut off the spreading blazes before potentially strong winds return that could push the flames toward some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Evan Brau, 52, was left heartbroken after the brutal wildfires claimed his home in the Pacific Palisades as he was forced to watch the house he lived in with his wife and two children go up in smoke.
Five of the deaths were attributed to the Palisades Fire and 11 resulted from the Eaton Fire, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said in a statement Saturday evening.
On Tuesday, while the fire had grown to 700 acres, the homeowner was watching his property on his Ring doorbell when suddenly at 4pm the camera cut out.
