In a statement, the singer told fans last week: "I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalised.
Fans have since rallied around the songstress, with one writing on X, formerly known as Twitter: "I hope you get better quickly.
Paramo Presenta, who company who run the event, told fans the gig at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium isn't going ahead.
"While assembling the stage, the roof structure installed by a local production company sustained damage that could compromise the safety of the artist and attendees," the firm explained.
"I am very sad to not be able to take to the stage today, I've been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans in Peru.
