Styling his hair into his trademark spikes he completed the ensemble with snazzy loafers and a red silk pocket square.

During a 2016 appearance on Loose Women Penny said that her and Rod's sons couldn't quite believe they got to go to Buckingham Palace to see their father being honoured as she recalled the special moment.

Sir Rod received the honour for his services to music and charity at Buckingham Palace from Prince William back in 2016 (pictured).
