Strictly Live Tour host Janette Manrara has broke her social media silence after Wynne Evans was booted from the show after making a sexual jibe towards her. Welsh opera singer Wynne, 53, was overheard making a lewd remark in Janette's direction during a press launch for the UK wide tour. After apologising for his actions, Wynne announced he was stepping back from performing in the show show amid the backlash. He also stepped down from his BBC radio show.
Following the furore, Janette, 40, has posted on social media. The professional dancer turned presenter used her platform to praise her mum for her help as she travelled around the UK with the show. Taking to Instagram, Janette shared a gushing post and attached a number of images and clips including her, her mum, husband Aljaž Škorjanec, 34, and their daughter Lyra.
In the caption, Janette wrote: "This is a special post for my mother @stepby2designs who has really helped us out these past 2 weeks. It really does take a village and as a working parent, having her to be there for Lyra meant the world. "I could not be doing shows and entertaining audiences if it was not for her coming and making sure Lyra was well and looked after. It’s extra special as they do not get to spend time together and were really able to bond these past 2 weeks, with the surprise visit from her uncle (my brother @fizzymanrara) too! My heart was full. Mom, I love you, I appreciate you, and I cannot wait to see you again soon.".
