Pop star Taylor Swift is 'taking a step back' from the ongoing drama between her pal, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni, according to reports. Sources close to Blake say that the reports are untrue but Taylor has yet to comment indicating that she doesn't want to get involved.
It Ends With Us stars, Blake, 37, Justin, 40, have been embroiled in a bitter legal battle ever since the Gossip Girl alum accused her co-star of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment while filming the popular Colleen Hoover adaptation. In the latest turn of events, Justin - who along with starring in the film, also directed it - has responded by filing an explosive countersuit against Blake in which he made a slew of shocking claims.
In his $400 million lawsuit, filed earlier this month, Justin says an unnamed A-lister, thought to be Taylor because she was named in accompanying text messages, made him feel like he 'needed to comply with Blake's direction for the script' during a meeting at Blake's house.
It comes after Blake appeared to complain to Justin as she allegedly compared herself to Game of Thrones character, Khaleesi, while referring to actor husband Ryan Reynolds and musician pal Taylor as her 'dragons'. A source told the Mail: "For the time being she is taking a step back because she doesn’t want to get tangled in this more than she already has – which is far more than she ever needed to be.".
Per the complaint, Justin allegedly texted Blake that while her changes made the scene "so much more fun and interesting," he "would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor," adding a playful emoji. Blake then allegedly responded by comparing herself to the Game of Thrones character Khaleesi, and calling Reynolds and Swift her two "dragons.".
