The Apprentice is back for a brand new series - with Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell returning as Lord Alan Sugar's aides. Working alongside Lord Alan Sugar, Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell stand side by side with the business mogul as he sets a string of tasks to find out which candidate he wants to make his business partner and give a £250,000 investment to. As part of their role, Karren and Tim must just observe the candidates and should not let any of their facial expressions or make any comments that might persuade the candidates to do anything differently.
However, in an exclusive chat with The Mirror, Karren has opened up about the time she had to step in when one set of candidates did something so wrong, it would have ruined the task completely. Speaking to us, she said: "You have to be poker faced because you have to blend into the background. They are always looking to see your reactions. When they have to select products to sell on the shopping TV channel, all the products are laid out in the room and they have to go and try them, and some of them are so simply ridiculous.
"They go, oh I quite like this, this could be a good one and you’re thinking what?! but you have to be completely neutral and then they drop that one and you know you’ve had an influence on them which you really don’t want to do. Because Alan’s not interested in what I can do, he wants to see what they can do. We can’t help them in any way. But trying to stay neutral is hard.".
