The former diplomat, 38, is poised to become the most successful contestant from the BBC show in history as he already boasts the most Instagram followers out of any former player. Even though it has only been days since the final, Alexander has racked up 172K followers, beating the likes of season 2 stars Harry Clark (162K) and icon Diane Carson (73K).
Alexander also has more than 100K than his co-player Linda Rands (41K), whose terrible but entertaining acting on The Traitors was even awarded a billboard in Leicester Square. He could now capitalise on his new-found popularity after becoming the people’s ‘winner’ with TV gold moments including falling into a bush and operatically performing a nursery rhyme backwards.
PR and celebrity expert Chad Teixeira told Metro that if Alexander plays his cards right, he could earn in excess of £500,000 a year. Alexander could add to his bank balance by monetising several avenues including – his ‘army’ will be pleased – a TV show.
