It came after fans of the show started speculating Alex might be hiding a secret and suggesting he was related to 62-year-old Lisa Coupland, an Anglican priest from Cornwall. After noticing both were the only contestants this season to have their social media accounts set to private, some believed Lisa might actually be Alex’s mother-in-law.

However, after the latest episode aired, Alex went on to appear on the companion series The Traitors: Uncloaked and cleared up the rumours. The show’s host Ed Gamble remarked how both Frankie and Lisa were ‘quite upset’ by Alex being booted from the game, before addressing fans’ theories.
