It is a deeply personal journey for anyone as they go through fertility treatment in the hope of one day starting a family. And it's clear the openness TV presenter Danni Menzies has had about her own  journey has struck a note with other women. In a post shared with her 134,000 followers on Instagram, she said: ‘I’ve thought about freezing my eggs for a long time and I’m finally getting around to it, so here’s my latest update. ‘I never thought this was something I’d have to do but I’m also very grateful we live in a world where it’s possible to do so.

‘I hope by sharing my journey I can give an insight to the process, costs etc, and help a little with the stigma that there still seems to be around it.’. She added: ‘It’s kind of weird sharing this stuff because it is deeply personal but, you know what, I started last year and I have committed to it. It’s real life and it is important, so here we are.’. Ms Menzies, from Kenmore, Perthshire, said a lot of women had contacted her after she posted a video in December outlining her plans, including a clip of her undergoing an assessment at a clinic in London.
