Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison’s husband Ercan Ramadan has reacted to her controversial sex tape. Vicky, 37, produced and directed the deepfake scenes - in which her own face has been digitally added to the body of an actress - for her new show Vicky Pattison: My Deepfake Sex Tape.
The Channel 4 documentary sets out to investigate the proliferation of deepfake porn and the impact it has on women and girls, and Vicky was clear that she wanted to involve herself as much as she could - but “wrestled with the decision” to post the tape on social media with the knowledge that it “may live online forever.”.
At the start of the show, Vicky was seen discussing the 'deepfake' with Ercan, as she expressed her concern of how he'd feel about it soon after their wedding. Throughout the show, Vicky was left in tears as she visited victims and heard their stories, and how the deepfakes had affected their lives.
Vicky was then seen uploading a photo of herself from her hen do in the app, explaining she was "absolutely speechless" with what she had seen. "There's just no way you'd think that wasn't my body she said," after breaking down in tears thinking about the young women who had previously had this done to them.
"This content, once it's online you may never get this back again," Vicky was told halfway through the show, which she expressed made her "rethink everything." Expressing her concerns to an intimacy co-ordinator Vicky said she helped her to stop catastrophising, before breaking down in tears after being "overwhelmed." However, she stated that she had consented, whereas "the victims don't have the same luxury.".
