Stunned Vicky Pattison made a horrifying discovering after investigating grim online deepfakes of herself. Reality star Vicky has taken the bold move of faking her own sex video as she tries to get to the bottom of the situation. But when researching, she came across something she wish she hadn't as she worked on documentary Vicky Pattison: My Deepfake Sex Tape.
The Geordie Shore star resorted to the drastic measure as part of a Channel 4 show which sets out to investigate the proliferation of deepfake porn and the impact it has on women and girls. She “wrestled with the decision” for a long time before accepting that the video in which she seems to appears “may live online forever”.
But when going some background on it, she was shocked to see she was a victim of genuine image-based sexual abuse. Vicky, who got married this summer to clothing brand manager Ercan Ramadan, has gone public with her torment. “I say in the pre-titles of the documentary that I myself have been a victim of sexually explicit, misogynistic abuse online," she told The Sun. “Throughout this documentary, we actually realised that there's content of me online that I was not entirely aware of. It's not AI generated but it is dark in content.”.
In the programme she made the bold move to produce and direct scenes in which her own face has been digitally added to the body of an actress. She admits she “wrestled with the decision” for a long time before accepting that the video in which she seems to appears “may live online forever”.
