Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has been a blast, but the next season will soon be here, and its expected to deliver a mountain of changes for the game. The debate around the “peak” of Fortnite will likely rage on for as long as the game exists, but there’s little doubt that the game is performing incredibly well right now. With this season bringing a Hatsune Miku Music Pass as part of the new Fortnite Festival season, Kong and Mechagodzilla Item Shop bundle and even the chance to become Godzilla as a boss, there are heaps to do in the game’s Japan-themed season that kicked off Chapter 6 in stylish fashion.
There’s more beyond the walls of Season 1, though, and players are left to wonder what could be yet to come in Chapter 2. Of course, we know now that Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 is coming within the confines of the current overall season, but more content awaits players once the Night Rose boss is defeated for good and Shogun's arena has been toppled. So, when exactly can we expect to wade further into the game’s sixth season? And when does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 end? Here’s what we know about the all-important end date.
The Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 end date is Thursday, February 20 at 9pm EST / 6pm PST, and Friday, February 21 at 2am GMT. This date and time has been confirmed thanks to the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass end date, which marks the end of the season and will likely be when Fortnite plunges into its season-bridging downtime.
It's still too early to predict what will come with this new season, but we can expect leaks to start with the 33.30 update, which will bring Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 with it. We can expect some major map changes, new weapons and unvaultings and, of course, an all-new themed Battle Pass to keep players busy.
