Emergency Response Police were called to the scene at approximately 6:50 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, following reports of a serious crash involving a car and a bus.
Road Closures and Investigation Lea Bridge Road remains closed as emergency services conduct investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
The Metropolitan Police said: ‘Police were called at approximately 06:50hrs on Saturday, 8 February to reports of a car in collision with a bus in Lea Bridge Road, near the junction of Clapton Road, E5.
The driver of the car, a woman, was rushed to the hospital but sadly died a short time later.
