Britney Spears' ex-husband Sam Asghari has admitted he is 'not sad' their marriage ended as he opened up about their relationship in a new interview on Monday. The actor, 30, dated the Princess of Pop, 43, for several years after meeting on set for her Slumber Party music video. They later tied the knot in June 2022 and their split was finalised in May 2024.
Now Sam has said that he stayed 'grounded' while in a relationship with Britney and her fame 'didn't mess up my mind'. Speaking as a guest on Kate and Oliver Hudson's Sibling Rivalry podcast, the actor and model said: 'Divorce and break-ups suck for anybody but I always had the mindset of ''I'm not sad it's over'', I'm grateful and happy that it happened.
'It was a very difficult time, we were in a relationship for seven years and there was so much we went through as a couple and it was a beautiful experience. 'You have to just appreciate that it ever happened than to dwell and be sad.'.
