Emma Willis is celebrating 17 years together with husband Bruce Willis. However, her emotional tribute to the Hollywood icon is tinged with sadness as he continues to deal with his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. She took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of the pair in the ocean in Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands as she gushed over "17 years of us".

But she also had to reflect on the fact the date is now celebrated in a different manner due to the Die Hard star's health condition. Continuing her anniversary post, Emma penned: "Anniversaries used to bring excitement — now, if I’m honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach.".

She went on: "I give myself 30 minutes to sit in the ‘why him, why us,’ to feel the anger and grief. Then I shake it off and return to what is. And what is… is unconditional love. I feel blessed to know it, and it’s because of him. I’d do it all over again and again in a heartbeat." Her loving words were met with encouragement by Bruce's kids whom he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore, including Rumer Willis who liked the post. The pair's younger daughter Tallulah also commented on the upload, writing: "I love you so much. Both of you 321.".

Emma, who tied the knot with Bruce in 2009, has regularly posted about Bruce's condition in a bid to raise awareness. In August, she also took part in an "exciting" brain study as she tried to gain knowledge of his condition. Emma took to her Instagram Stories at the time to share her action as she continues to advocate new health studies and treatments.
