Cleaner left mortified after customer points out 'silly' carpet mistake After noticing a 'stain' on a client's carpet, a cleaner took it upon herself to try and remove the mark, using a special carpet cleaner and a good deal of elbow grease.
She further explained: "The gentleman works from home and I didn't want to disturb him so I went to get some foam carpet cleaner and sprayed it, left it for a bit and started scrubbing."
Karen recalled: "I cleaned the downstairs like I always do, I went upstairs, made the bed, went to the landing to grab the vacuum and I thought 'what are those stains?"
The mother-of-four spent another five minutes attempting to scrub away the blue mark, but was left red-faced when the homeowner caught her in the act and explained her error.
A mortified Karen recounted her hilarious mix-up while cleaning, admitting: "I was leaning over it and my shadow made it disappear but I got up and thought 's**t, it's still there'.
