Conor McGregor has fuelled the fire of Logan Paul fight rumours with a social media post. Irish fighter McGregor has been out of action since 2021, when he suffered a TKO defeat against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He has been due to take on Michael Chandler in 2024, only for a broken toe to force him to pull out of the bout.
Reports from India have suggested McGregor could first step back into the boxing ring. That's something the Irishman hasn't done in a professional capacity since 2017, when he lost to Floyd Mayweather in Nevada. India's Ambani family are reportedly working on a return for McGregor against one of the Paul brothers. Logan and his brother Jake have both been mentioned as potential opponents, with both having pivoted from YouTuber to boxer.
A tweet and story from Fightbook MMA, made reference to a potential fight between McGregor and Logan Paul which would net both men a huge $250million. The proposed bout would take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, best known as a cricket venue. These early reports can't be read as confirmation of any kind. However, McGregor himself quoted the story on X along with an Indian flag and a heart emoji.
Earlier in the month, he had teased the agreement. "The rumors of a bout with [Ilia Topuria] are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.".
