Logan Paul breaks silence on Conor McGregor boxing fight announcement

Logan Paul has added fuel to the fire over a potential fight with Conor McGregor. Former two-weight UFC champion McGregor claimed he is in talks with the richest family in Asia over a boxing exhibition bout with Paul next year. He said: "The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.".
Paul has yet comment on the fight but did take to social media to share a poster depicting himself and McGregor with a grab of the Irishman's tweet and the eyes emoji. Paul, the elder brother of Jake, has been competing in the WWE but recently claimed to have retired after becoming a father.
McGregor would require the UFC's permission to fight Paul as he still has two fights remaining on his contract. But given both the UFC and the WWE are owned by parent company TKO, a deal could be struck. McGregor has not fought since he broke his leg in the first round of his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier over three years ago.
Paul, meanwhile, has limited experience in the ring having twice fought social media rival KSI, drawing their first bout in Manchester before losing the rematch in Los Angeles. He then took on Floyd Mayweather in an unscored exhibition bout before clashing with McGregor's former teammate Dillon Danis last year. Their fight ended in disgrace when security guards stormed the ring when Danis attempted to take down Paul.
