Elon Musk wants to rename the English Channel – and Brits are fuming Elon Musk's row with the UK has deepened this week, with Brits left fuming over a yet another controversial proposal from Donald Trump's billionaire "First Buddy".
Despite officially taking the helm of his cost-cutting US government department last week and running six companies in the country, including Twitter successor X, the richest man in the world has dedicated significant time to "trolling" the UK.
The "water" - otherwise known as the English Channel - he suggested, should be known by an American name, instead of the one it has held for longer than the US has existed.
Musk, 53, took to X in an early morning post on Sunday to suggest the country give a new name to "the water that separates England and France".
The billionaire appeared to suggest the English Channel should become the "George Washington Channel" by sharing a picture of the passage labelling it as such.
