Emmerdale fans ‘know’ who was shot – and it’s not who we think

Yesterday’s episode of Emmerdale ended with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) running into a barn after hearing a gun go off. Inside, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) had been playing Russian Roulette with Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day). Anthony is the father of Caleb’s wife Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly). A few days ago, Caleb discovered Anthony had sexually abused Ruby when she was a child, and got his hands on a gun to plan revenge.
Caleb took Anthony to the barn and simply said he would get the truth out of him one way or another. He tricked Anthony into thinking he had put one bullet in the gun and spun the revolver, and said if he didn’t confess, he’d kill him. The fear created during the situation eventually pushed Anthony to confirm he had previously wondered if Steph (Georgia Jay) was his child. Caleb’s game of Russian Roulette ended when he revealed the gun was empty – but he then filled the weapon with bullets.

This happened just as we saw Cain leaving his car and running into the barn, which means tonight’s episode will reveal what happened. Despite the fact Anthony will be dead come the end of this week, fans of the ITV soap don’t believe last night’s scenes saw him get shot. In fact, they believe Caleb will be the one with the gunshot wound.
