Gamers have hours left to grab ‘outstanding’ tower defence title worth £24 for absolutely nothing in flash giveaway

GAMERS have only a few hours left to bag a popular tower defense title absolutely free as part of Epic's seasonal giveaway. The Epic Games Store has been dishing out a different fan favourite for nothing every day since December 12 but there's only 24 hours to redeem.

On Boxing Day, players could claim Ghostrunner 2. Epic's latest freebie is Orcs Must Die! 3, which normally costs £23.79. But move fast, as free offer only lasts until 4pm. If you do miss it fear not, as another title will be added each day until January 9.

Orcs Must Die! 3 is an action-tower defense video game that was first released in 2020 for Google's doomed Stadia cloud platform. A year later it was made available on Windows, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, then a PS5 version in 2022. The third title in the series received some largely positive reviews at the time.
Its replayability is one of the standout features Orcs Must Die! 3 was praised for. The aim of the game is to defend rifts from a huge army of orcs on the attack, much like the previous two titles in the series. It boasts more traps, weapons and upgrades too.
"Orcs must die, and they sure did," one gamer wrote online. "Incredibly mentally stimulating and engaging. Having the time of my life playing this co-op!!!". Another added: "this game is a blast and a nice change from the MMO grind that i usually play.". And a third commented: "That is one of the best game I ve ever played.".
