TV presenter Rob Rinder stepped in to host Good Morning Britain on Friday alongside Kate Garraway - but found himself responding to online trolls while the show was still on air. After rising to fame as Judge Rinder on the ITV reality courtroom series, Rob has successfully pivoted into a broadcasting career and regularly appears as a guest host on Good Morning Britain. However, while the 46-year-old was presenting the show alongside Kate Garraway, he received homophobic comments from one particular viewer on X, formerly known as Twitter. One viewer who went by the name Mr Q wrote: "A top tip for GMB. Get Rob Rinder and Richard Arnolde to skip hand in hand into q***r obscurity #GMB.".

However Rob was quick to hit back with a witty comment. "Stop flirting Mr Q," Rob replied, while the show continued to air on ITV. Meanwhile, other viewers were keen to see more of Rob on Good Morning Britain, with one writing: "I love Rob Rinder he should be on regularly #gmb.". Earlier this week, Rob appeared on This Morning alongside his mum Angela Cohen to speak about Holocaust Memorial Day and held back tears as he spoke about his mother's efforts to set up a charity for Holocaust survivors. The '45 Aid Society preserves the stories of more than 700 children who were brought to the UK after the end of the Second World War, with Angela's father Morris Malenicky being one of the ‘Windemere Children’ who was rehoused near Lake Windemere when he came to the UK.

"It’s been vital and a gift and a privilege and I'm so proud of mum and the survivors and those who go into the world to tell this story," Rob said on This Morning. "This could just be a story of horror and of trauma and ultimately of despair, but today it is also one of hope so it has empowered me through my mum and the survivors.". Last year, the TV star returned to BBC Two with Rylan Clark as the duo headed to Italy for a travel show. The pair are now close friends, with Rob wishing Rylan a happy 36th birthday online back in October.

In a touching gesture, Rylan's buddy Rob Rinder took to Instagram to post snapshots of their escapades in Italy from last year, captured during the filming of their own show for BBC2. "Happy birthday @rylan beautiful on the inside and the outside... 'Friendship is born at the moment when one man says to another What! You too? I thought that no one but myself," he wrote on Instagram. Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
