Hollywood actor Michael Sheen got a ribbing from Michael McIntyre for being "self-centred" during his stint on the comedian's latest run of his Big Show on BBC One. The 55-year-old star bravely faced the 'Send To All' challenge in Saturday's episode, trusting McIntyre with his phone to dispatch a cringy text to all his contacts live on stage.
Queried about his nerves before the prank, Sheen admitted on the January 25 show: "It all seemed like a very good idea when I was first asked. Now it seems like a very bad idea.". Alongside his partner Anna Lundberg and her mother Ingrid who is from Sweden, Sheen watched from a VIP box as McIntyre delved into his apps—his every move displayed on a huge screen for both theatre goers and viewers at home.
In a revealing moment, McIntyre uncovered Sheen's last IMDb search was none other than himself, prompting Sheen to defend himself saying: "Listen, sometimes... Sometimes, I have to look myself up, alright? Because I forget what I've been in.". Further cementing his Welsh pride, the second most recent search by Sheen, who recently waved goodbye to Hollywood for Wales, was the much-loved UK show Gavin and Stacey - showing his strong connection to his roots and the hit series that's been all the craze lately, reports Wales Online.
McIntyre was hesitant to open his notes app, asking: "Is notes a bit personal? " Sheen, with a smile, advised him not to do it. Ignoring the actor's plea, McIntyre discovered a page dedicated to Sheen's work history, which turned out to be a bio for one of his projects.
