Incredible UK seaside town booming full of independent shops

With it being the New Year, many of us are looking to book a trip, but if you want to go somewhere nice without the hassle of travelling, then there are plenty of places waiting to be visited in the UK. One incredible seaside town which deserves more recognition is Looe, which is classed as "Cornwall's coastal gem". Unlike, many other destinations, which become deserted as soon as it hits winter, Looe seems to be popular in every season. According to the website Visit Cornwall, the seaside town "keeps visitors entertained all year round".
The stunning beauty spot offers "brilliant" food options and dozens of independent stores. Looe is also home to numerous activities such as coastal walks and sea safaris. The destination also features a magnificent nature reserve called Looe Island, where locals often find seals chilling by the rocks.
The idyllic destination has attracted tourists from far and wide, who have shared just how much they adore the town on TripAdvisor. One woman said: "Been visiting Looe since I was a little girl and now love bringing my family here. Peaceful, plenty to do and so so beautiful." Another person commented on Looe Island, which belongs to Cornwall Trust, said they frequently visit the area.
"Always enjoy going to the island, quiet, unspoilt, great views," they said. "We spotted seals on the rocks but also saw one near the beach as we waited for the boat back, it kept popping up behind kayakers." Another visitor described the coastal walk, between Looe and Polperro, and said the villages along the way offer a "unique charm".
