There is no danger of Luke Littler’s success and burgeoning wealth changing him, according to his brother Leon. The 17-year-old is the talk of British sport after storming to glory at the PDC World Championship, 12 months after being runner-up at the age of 16. Littler’s stonking victory over Michael van Gerwen saw him collect £500,000, adding to the near £1million he banked in 2024 from winning tournaments like the Premier League, Grand Slam of Darts and World Series Finals.

Littler has also signed numerous lucrative commercial deals, with more set to follow after becoming the youngest world champion in the sport’s history. His family has supported him every step of the way, with his father, Anthony Buckley, getting him into darts while he was still in nappies.

Brother Leon, 21, who was spotted receiving a wad of cash from his younger brother in the aftermath of the Ally Pally final, is certain Luke’s success won’t change him. Leon previously said last year about his sibling, per The Sun: “Nothing’s changed Luke, and I know nothing ever will. He’s very down to earth and keeps his feet on the ground. He’s still the caring and devoted brother who grew up with me.”.

Littler’s response when asked about how he had spent his winnings spoke volumes about the youngster. Shortly after winning the World Series Finals and its top prize of £80,000, he revealed he had treated himself to a “nice bag”.
