Chocolate giant Mars has admitted it was wrong to discontinue Milky Way Crispy Rolls after fans revolted and petitioned online - with the sweet treat returning this weekend. A campaign to reinstate the crispy treat has reached more than 8,600 signatures and grabbed the attention of manufacturers Mars Wrigley. Cryptic billboards spotted last week have harked back to the devastation fans felt when the favourite was taken off the shelves in 2022.

They dramatically read 'when they decided to discontinue Milky Way Crispy Rolls, they decided to discontinue a part of me' and 'week ruined, nobody talk to me'. Rumours swirled online and now Mars Wrigley have revealed the bar will return to shelves this weekend as they don't 'shy away from mistakes'.

A spokesperson for Mars Wrigley commented: "We don't shy away from our mistakes here at Mars. We wanted to show that the people had spoken, and we have listened!. "This is a fan favourite, so we're celebrating by introducing two new flavours as well. This is all about you, our fans, eating and enjoying life's simple pleasures - Crispy Rolls!".
