'My parents turned their garden shed into my bedroom so I could have my own space'

A woman has shown the inside the garden shed she lived in as a teenager saying how “having own space” was more important than it being “chilly”. Megsie has shared a TikTok video of the garden with the two sheds, saying that her parents’ home is now on the market and people have been intrigued by the extra rooms.
In the footage can be seen the neatly laid out garden and the two matching sheds side-by-side at the back which were used by her and a sister. "These are what I refer to as the sheds. My parents prefer the term Log Cabin. And growing up, these are mine and my sister's bedroom,” said Megsie.
"I have four younger sisters and I'm one out of 5, so my parents had to come up with very creative ways as to where we're all gonna sleep." She said how she had fond memories of living in the shed having moved out of the London home around three years ago and now has her own flat. But looking back she described her shed as her "everything".
But she admitted that it was cold in winter as while the windows were double glazed, there was no insulation for the walls made of wood. "It's obviously got electric and then the heating runs off oil heaters without the insulation I will be honest, it did get a little bit chilly,” she said. "But as a teenager, having my own space, separated from the rest of the house, was worth any sacrifice I had to make.".
