Ruben Amorim admits Manchester United's team news leaking is a problem that might be "impossible to fix.". According to The Sun, the head coach has quizzed derby winner Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho, who was dropped for the 2-1 victory away to Manchester City on Sunday, and the club have launched an investigation.
The latter's brother, Roberto, denied he is the source of United starting XIs being revealed on social media well before they are officially announced. And Amorim said: "I know that story, I think it is impossible to fix, you have a lot of people in the club, the players talk with agents, it is not a good thing.”.
Amorim also dropped Marcus Rashford for the visit to the Etihad and appeared to question the attitude of some of his players despite a stunning derby day triumph. "It is important to say why,” he added. “It was not a disciplinary thing - next week, next game, new life. They are fighting for the places but for me it's important for me the performance in training, the performance in game, the way you dress, the way you eat, the way you engage with the team-mates, the way you push your team-mates.”.
But Amorim was full of praise for Diallo after the game, saying: "He can play different positions, he is very humble. We have to be very careful with Amad because sometimes in our club we put young players in a special place. Let's stay calm with Amad.".
