In season one, Mark S’ Outie was a widower after his wife and Russian literature teacher Gemma Scout (Dichen Lachman) died several years prior.
Unlike Mark S, Helly R, Irv (John Turturro) and the other employees of Lumon, she hasn’t retained any elements of her Outie personality, suggesting something more sinister may have taken place.
The trailer for season two saw Mark S (played by Adam Scott) chatting to his fellow Lumon colleagues about the inside and outside worlds.
However, it transpired halfway through season one, Gemma was actually an employee at Lumon Industries, working as the Wellness Director Ms Casey.
