The remaining eight masked celebrities took to the Masked Singer stage on Saturday night, and viewers are convinced they have worked out who is behind the Kingfisher mask and costume. Kingfisher dropped some new clues to their identity, including saying the words 'diddly squat' and saying they were a bit crafty. Previous clues have included an East End accent; items including dog treats, a 'Harry' name tag, a radio, and the riddle: “Fishing and planting, digging and mowing, to reap the rewards, you better get sowing.”.
Previously, fans have guessed that Kingfisher could be Harry Hill, Alan Titchmarsh, Chris Packham, Harry Redknapp, Daniel Radcliffe or Paul Whitehouse, who was quizzed by Lorraine Kelly about whether he was behind the Kingfisher mask. The Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing star replied: "If I say yes, you won't believe me; if I say no, you won't believe me." He then suggested it could be another comic star. "Whoever's done - Harry Hill - has cleverly thrown the focus to me," he said. "There's rumours flying around, it could be anyone," he added.
Fans have also taken to Reddit to claim they "knew" who the famous face was, despite them not matching the clues: "Whilst the clues don't add up, if you listen to Simon Farnaby's voice, and then Kingfisher's, it's so obvious that it's Simon Farnaby!". On Saturday’s show, Kingfisher performed Luck Be a Lady Tonight, and fans then rushed to X to share their guesses, with the most popular suggesting being Bob Mortimer, Paul Whitehouse's partner in fishing. One fan wrote: "Kingfisher is Bob Mortimer," while a second commented: "It's not Harry Hill, it's Bob!" and another added: "100% it is Bob Mortimer.".
