Plenty of BT users took to X to voice their frustration, with a number of them complaining that BT had not updated its website to report the outage.
One person tweeted: "Hi BT UK, can you please explain why yet again - and it appears to be UK-wide - your email login site is inaccessible again?
A third user posted: "BT UK, looks like your email service is down but no information or updates anywhere?
Yet another added: "BT UK, your email servers are down, and the papers are covering it.
