Tiny UK airport flying to Spanish island and 5 other destinations in 2025 One of the UK's smallest airports has added a new destination to its slim offerings in time for the summer holidays.
Once dubbed as the quietest airport in the country, Humberside only welcomed 136,976 visitors back in 2023 - which feels like nothing when you compare it to the 79,180,434 tourists that passed through London Heathrow in the same year.
Originally a Royal Air Force station during World War 2, Humberside was converted into a civilian airport in 1974 - and offers both domestic and international flights.
"The flights will be on a Tuesday and a Saturday, offering the option for short breaks and 10 and 11-day holidays, in addition to the 7 and 14-day options already offered," Humberside Airport explained.
Its departure boards aren't as busy compared to nearby hubs like Leeds Bradford and East Midlands, but the airport is expanding its routes this year with regular flights to a Spanish hotspot.
