The Giant Turtle isn't just a lazy creature that naps all day waiting for players to land on him. This turtle is actually part of a new quest so that players can level up their exclusive season six Battle Pass that will afford lucky players the Godzilla skin that drops in the item store on January 17, 2025 at 6 AM.

"The Great Turtle” quest became available in Fortnite chapter six on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. From this date players have six weeks to complete the quest and earn their reward of 80,000 XP. The quest involves tracking down the Giant Turtle, where on top they will find Ryuji, an NPC who will request the player's help.
According to Game Rant plays will receive a free Level Up reward, granting them 80,000 XP when they land on the Giant Turtles back. Players are then tasked with clearing the Great Turtle's shell of five dark Magic Thorns to earn themselves more rewards for their battle pass.
