Traitors O.G, Wilf Webster, has stuck up for winner, Leanne, after some viewers thought her fellow Faithful, Frankie, had been thrown under the bus. After weeks of secrets and skulduggery, the smash-hit BBC show came to a came to a conclusion on Friday when Leanne and Jake took the win and split a staggering £94,600 - leaving a crestfallen Frankie, with nothing.
Following the finale, some fans reckoned that Leanne had done the dirty on Frankie after she banished the newly-revealed Seer at the final endgame hurdle after struggling to believe she was faithful. However, former contestant and finalist, Wilf, has stuck up for Leanne, saying she did exactly the right thing. Explaining he was happy with the winners, he told Mecca Bingo: "Yeah, I’m happy! I’ve watched most seasons of The Traitors, and I think the Faithfuls winning is always the nicer ending to watch. It’s really quite emotional.
Conceding that viewers were saying they wanted fan favourites, Frankie and Alexander to win, he said; "People online keep saying: 'Oh, Alexander, I wish he won.' I get it, I would’ve liked that too, but at the same time, nobody knows what it’s like when you’re standing there and your gut is telling you: 'You can’t trust this person, no matter what.'".
Wilf continued: "People lie so much in this game, and some people would lie worse than what you see on TV. Like, when Frankie says: 'I'm a mum,', I’d be saying, ‘I’m a dad, I wouldn’t do this,’” but I really would. Lying is part of the game, so if I were a Traitor, I’d be saying all that stuff too.
