There are a number of series that you could stream in just one weekend and be ready for their brand new seasons coming in 2025. Its set to be another big year with many new series set to be released. This includes a host of returning shows making the watchlist of the average streamer seem never ending. It can make it difficult to know what to catch up on first.

Several of these returning shows are coming to NOW TV and Sky, including some of the best drama shows of the last few years along with outrageous comedies. Here are some of the best returning series which all achieved near-perfect scores on Rotten Tomatoes which are easily binged in just one weekend.

HBO's hit adaptation of the Naughty Dog developed game boasts a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The first series centres on Joel (played by Pedro Pascal), a smuggler tasked with taking Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a girl who discovers she is immune to the infection that has turned much of the world's population into zombie-like creatures, to a group of resistance fighters working on a cure.

The series managed to be a hit with those familiar to the original source material and newcomers alike. A big achievement as it was considered one of the best games ever released. One viewer declared it a 'masterpiece' while another added: "For someone who love the game so much, I could say the series definitely reached the same highs. Brilliantly played by the actors and I cannot wait to see the next season.".

It was confirmed that the much anticipated second season which adapts The Last of Us Part Two will not air until April 2025. That means there's plenty of time to catch up on both the series and the PlayStation games, should you feel emotionally strong enough to do so.
