Karren Brady has revealed the BBC show she turned down this year despite the series becoming a cult favourite among fans across the globe. Lord Sugar's trusted aide, 55, told MailOnline she was approached to star in the UK's first celebrity version of The Traitors but rejected the opportunity because of her intense work schedule.
The West Ham vice chairman, who also sits in the House of Lords, explained while she feels no 'snobbery' towards reality TV shows, including the likes of Strictly Come Dancing and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, she simply doesn't have the time to compete.
She is able to commit five weeks of the year to The Apprentice because filming for the show takes place in the summer once the football season has come to a close. Karren said: 'I was asked to do the celebrity Traitors, but I've never seen it. It's not for me. There's no shame in doing TV, I have great admiration for people who do television or film.
'But in my life, I have a full-time job at West Ham, I'm in the House of Lords, I have a number of other interests and boards that I sit on, it's just not for me.
