Fans get excited because of one of the highest-rated and most loved sequels to an animated film has been added to Netflix – just in time for some festive family viewing. While this time of year provides the perfect chance to catch up on favourite movies, UK viewers can now add a very highly regarded animated movie to their watchlist in the form of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
It’s been described as ‘spellbinding’, a ‘shockingly phenomenal movie’ and ‘one of the best films of the year’ in reviews, while fans called it ‘insanely good’ and potentially ‘the best sequel ever made’. This 2022 flick is a delayed follow up to 2011’s Puss in Boots, itself a spin-off the hugely popular Shrek movies that first introduced the swashbuckling feline, voiced by Hollywood superstar Antonio Banderas, to fans.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish has a remarkable 95% score on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes from 193 professional critics’ responses, as well as 94% on the Popcornmeter from over 5,000 audience ratings. In contrast, the original Puss in Boots has an 86% rating from critics, but only 68% from fans.
