The Apprentice cast: Why did Claude Littner leave The Apprentice?

The Apprentice cast has mostly stayed the same throughout its 19-year history but why did Claude Littner make his exit from the boardroom?. Lord Alan Sugar is making a comeback for season 19 as the countdown begins until the return of the business reality show which premieres on Thursday, January 30, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Once again, 18 candidates from across the country with hopes of getting their hands on a £250,000 investment and mentorship, will be making their way to London to put their business brains to the test in a bid to impress Lord Sugar himself. He won’t be the only one that the entrepreneurs need to prove themselves to with his advisers Baroness Karren Brady and season one winner Tim Campbell keeping a close eye throughout the competition.
Prior to Campbell sitting on the other side of the boardroom, his seat was occupied by Lord Sugar’s friend and long-term business associate Claude Littner. Claude was initially brought in as one of the terrifying interviewers during the dreaded interviews episode before replacing original star Nick Hewer as an adviser.
He remained by Lord Sugar’s side from season 11 to season 15 and then again in season 17 before being permanently replaced by Campbell. Claude Littner dropped out of starring in The Apprentice season 16 in 2021 after being involved in a “freak accident” near Mill Hill, London, when he was knocked off his bike.
